The current edition of the guideline is prepared well in time and will enable the program to keep abreast with developments in ART, consolidate in-country experience gained last year, build on the successes achieved to date, and rationally utilize national and international opportunities that have emerged to support in country initiatives to rapidly scale up access to ART. The ministry believes that these guidelines along with other national implementation guidelines will be instrumental in the national effort to reverse the tide of HIV epidemic in Ethiopia.
