Ethiopia’s Annual HIV/AIDS M&E report 1998 E.C is a joint initiative of NHAPCO, Regions and Partners. The goal of the Annual Report is to provide the National HIV/AIDS Program, its partners and the general public with useful information on Ethiopia’s response to AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases (STD)

The Annual Report brings together key information systems from the Ministry of Health, Sector Ministries, Regions, survey findings, and special studies. Ethiopia’s HIV/AIDS SPM 2004-2008 emphasizes the importance of strengthening the National HIV/AIDS M&E, this Annual Report is and important endeavour towards this effort.

The 1998 E.C M&E Report documented results for around 70% of the National HIV/AIDS indicators. Eventhough this is a great achievement, concerted effort need to be made by all to continually build the system and improve reporting and use of data at all levels.

This report will be published and updated on an annual basis. There are a list of National HIV/AIDS M&E indicators identified in the National Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for Multi-Sectoral Response to HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia 2003.
