Description:

In this book, the authors of the individual chapters have endeavored to penetrate in considerable depth the current issues of antiretroviral therapy. They have not necessarily resolved, or attempted to resolve, all the outstanding questions raised above, but they have covered sufficient ground to help resolve these outstanding issues. Antiretroviral therapy has become an art and will undoubtedly remain so for many years to come. The different chapters of the book reflect the current state of this art. In the individual chapters the authors have presented their views on the specific topics that were assigned to them. These topics were chosen in function of the current progress made in the global field of antiretroviral therapy and of the particular expertise of the authors in the areas to be covered. While not all areas of research interest could be covered, they endeavored to cover the most important topics.
