The 2003 edition of Medical Management of HIV Infection reflects substantial changes in the treatment of patients with HIV infection and AIDS since the 2001-2002 edition was published. This edition was completed in December 2002, so new developments in treatment guidelines occurring after that time are not included. Updates are available on the Johns Hopkins AIDS Service website: http://www.hopkins.aids.edu.

The 2001-2002 edition was distributed to approximately 60,000 readers in more than 60 countries and accessed by more than 15,000 additional readers online. The book is currently translated into Portuguese, Russian, and Chinese. Translations into Vietnamese is pending.
