September 10 has been designated as National VCT Day. Events around the VCT Day theme were organized by National HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Office (HAPCO), Addis Ababa HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Office (AAHAPCO), Addis Ababa Health Bureau, Ministry of Health (MOH), AIDS Resource Center (ARC), and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Center for Communication Programs (CCP).

There were a number of activities implemented on this day including the unveiling of a billboard.
