ANTHROPAC 3.2 - USA

ANTHROPAC is a DOS-based program for culturally-bound data, commonly used by anthropologists. It permits analysis of proximity data through multidimensional scaling, attitude scaling (Guttman and Likert scale-based), consensus analysis, and data transformations. Version 3.2 is free. Survey Research Methods Section (Harvard University) - USA

This is an excellent summary of available software for the analysis of surveys with complex sampling. Information can be viewed by packages separately, or packages can be compared side-by-side. The site also features links to sites where the software can be downloaded: many are free, but others (like SPSS and Stata) are licensed and require credit card payment before downloading. This is a helpful site to review available packages to determine which software package is best for a given project.
