Addis Ababa University has launched the MARCH project to apply the MARCH model (Modeling and Reinforcement to Combat HIV/AIDS) to encourage desirable behavioral change among the university community. The Modeling and Reinforcement to Combat HIV/AIDS (MARCH) project for behavior change focuses on providing culturally appropriate messages, psycho-social factors impacting risk, linkage to available services, and broader social normative changes necessary to sustain behavior change.

International Center for AIDS Care and Treatment Programs (ICAP) - Ethiopia

ICAP at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health was established in 2004 to support the development of HIV/AIDS care and treatment services in low-resource settings. ICAP currently implements four major programs: the MTCT-Plus Initiative; the Multicountry Columbia Antiretroviral Program (MCAP); the University Technical Assistance Program (UTAP); and the Dominican HIV/AIDS Treatment Initiative. ICAP provides technical assistance, financial and management systems support, and training to health institutions in 14 countries. Technical assistance is provided in an array of areas focusing on HIV/AIDS-related service delivery, including infrastructure development, procurement, and monitoring, evaluation, and research.

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international humanitarian aid organization that provides emergency medical assistance to populations in danger in more than 80 countries. In countries where health structures are insufficient or even non-existant, MSF collaborates with authorities such as the Ministry of Health to provide assistance. MSF works in rehabilitation of hospitals and dispensaries, vaccination programmes and water and sanitation projects. MSF also works in remote health care centres, slum areas and provides training of local personnel. All this is done with the objective of rebuilding health structures to acceptable levels.
